On October 30–November 1, 2016, the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) and CFR convened the ninth Council of Councils regional conference, Regional Security in a Turbulent World, in Berlin, Germany.
On October 30-31, 2012, the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies and CFR convened the first Council of Councils regional conference: Asia at the Crossroads: Regional Priorities for the Twenty-First Century.
On November 24–26, 2013, the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations, the Getulio Vargas Foundation, and CFR convened the fourth Council of Councils regional conference, in conjunction with the Hemispheric Meeting of Councils on International Relations: The Future of the Americas in Global Governance.
